FASHION FIGURE FUNDAMENTALS featuring WHITNEY MASTERS

In this session guided by illustrator Woody Hegedus we will be going back to basics and looking at the fundamentals of the fashion figure. 

Working with professional fashion model Whitney Masters, we will be observing the leotard clad figure and exploring the contours of the quintessential fashion silhouette. 

Starting with drawing exercises to warm up the hand and eye, we will explore proportions of the standing figure, simplifying the figure into masses shapes, 360 degree standing poses, and then looking at stance and contrapposto, where the weight of the figure is rested on one leg. 

We will then progress to a series of classic and iconic fashion poses that no fashion illustrator should be unfamiliar with.
